Have you been rewarded?
The Rewards are forthcoming Barbara,
the problem is that we are often unable to see them.
I used to expect great rewards for a small effort.
Needless to say that I was often disappointed, so I
began to look for smaller rewards.
Then one day, I thought, what if I worked harder and longer,
and spent less time looking for big rewards, what would happen?
... and a funny thing happened. I was getting rewards all along, but I was too busy to notice.
These days, I expect less, and give more, and wouldn't you know it, my basket is full of rewards!
Look in your basket, you may be surprised.
A well-rewarded Man named Paul.
Aaaaaaaaahhhhh...
What a lovely perspective...I am truly rewarded by your response!
I am teary-eyed and choked up...truly!
My basket has always been full!
My parents taught me how to see as a youngster...if I forgot we went to the local soup kitchen and served others in need...we even took blankets and mittens and toques and scarves to street people in our area.
It has turned arctic and there has been 6 to 8 inches of new snow overnight...
Your response has reminded me just how "well-rewarded" I truly am...I am going to load up my truck with goodies and go and share the wealth!
Thank you Paul...you have a special name...
You have rewarded my day...a humble thank you my friend!
Barb from Canada
Thank you, Barb.
I know all about mittens and woollen socks. My mother used to knit me some. Sometimes I got to use them when we were snowed in from school.
I live in the Great White North, just down the road from St. Nick.
A few times I helped him get his sleigh unstuck, and yes, you guessed it, ... rewards! I used all those lumps of coal to help others keep their fingers and toes warm.
Lucky for us, we could use our mittens for building snow forts and throwing "friendly" snowballs.
I'm pleased that you have a heart that cares.
I wonder if they still make them anymore.
I hope you've had a Merry Christmas, and that the New Year fills your basket with snow, ... and rewards.
Thanks again for the kind words.
Paul in the Basket.
