Coffin Nails for Google Authorship

Well, it's pretty much confirmed that Google+ authorship was a failed program and Google is scrapping the idea. Apparently too many people had difficulties setting up the links or completing the process by linking back to the website on their G+ page.
Old posts or persons in your circles will still show their pictures in search results when you're logged in. However, going forward Google will no longer add your profile picture to your posts.
