Did you ever get a rotten egg ?

Can you think back in your youth for a moment ?

How exciting knowing Mom’s gonna boil some eggs so we kids can decorate them!

Do you remember the aroma of boiling eggs, and then the messy yet fun process of decorating your eggs for Easter?

Oh, it took time; but the reward was worth it.

Are you reflecting? Are you smiling?

So many beautiful colors, designs and choices.

And oh my goodness, the baskets are just as fun! Did yours come with designs, or did you dye those as well?

To this day I love - I mean love- baskets of all sizes and shapes. Yes I do!

It was so much fun knowing my parents were gonna hide those eggs in the back yard. Then me, my sisters and many cousins could begin to hunt and collect those eggs. And who ever got the most eggs would win a prize !

Yeah! So much fun!

Thinking about those days got me thinking about WA.

It’s so exciting, the creation /content of our WA “egg”.

So many niches - “designs” to choose from - but they were our creations!

Some were amazing - so I thought- and some not so much.

Yes, I have had my share of “stinkers”! Some of them I’ve shared before I realized my mistake. But with feedback from my WA family, I’ve learned to sort them out & spare readers the offending experience. At least, that is my goal.

The beauty of all this? I have learned a lot about myself through writing about my life, and about the lives of people in my life. Suffice it to say, “I didn’t

know I had it in me!” But “it” has been there all along - since birth, really. After all, how old were you at your very first Easter egg hunt?
