I actually did it!

When I arrived a few short days ago I began my learning immediately and didn't pay too much attention to what was happening on my profile. I don't always absorb information fully first time around so I watched some of the training videos 3, 4 sometimes 5 times or more.
Don't get me wrong I was and am extremely eager to get started building my website and finding my niche and so on...
BUT...
As somebody who has suffered a terminal case of shiny object syndrome in the past, this time I wanted it to be different. I wanted to ensure that I had the best start possible and understood all the prescribed steps fully before setting off on what I'm determined to make the adventure of a lifetime.
So imagine my surprise when I emerged from a mammoth session of training to discover what appeared to be somewhere in the region of 70 billion comments, welcome messages and best wishes on my profile.
I was blown away!
This community is truly unique in it's nurturing, helpful, friendly ways and as somebody who LOVES engagement I knew there was only ONE thing to be done.
I absolutely, positively KNEW that I would respond to every single wonderful comment and welcome I had received...
But there's a problem!

You see I'm an enthusiastic friendly guy and I love to meet amazing new people, I thrive on engagement both online and offline BUT I never mastered the skill of brevity. I'm known in my circles as the most needlessly wordy person you could ever happen across.
To cut a long story short ((which is seldom the case even after I have used that expression)) tonight I finally managed it! I finished responding to every wonderful person who took a little time outta their day to wish me well.
Now I know what you are thinking... That is not exactly taking action on what I have learned in the training, maybe I could have built my first website in that time. However, I see myself as taking my first tentative steps at the beginning of a magnificent journey that is going to take me to fabulous places in my future.
I don't think there has ever been any worthwhile journey in the entire history of this little blue/green orb we call home that wasn't enhanced by sharing it with friends we meet along the way.
I just wanted to take a few moments to pay testament to this community of amazing, friendly souls, many of whom I have already had the great pleasure and indeed privilege to have crossed paths with.
I'm wildly excited and optimistic for the future that lies before me, before US!
Let me state it here, loud and proud that I intend to pay this spirit of generosity and reciprocity forward to others who join along the way, in the way that many of you have done for me.
I wish you ALL the most magnificent end to 2019 and the most perfect beginning to 2020 OUR greatest year so far.
May we all strive to not only help ourselves to build a brighter life BUT to endeavor to help others make the change too.
Together we are just better!
