Beware Of The Blog Graveyard!
You have seen them... The sites that you click on that have an article or blog that is boring and lifeless. Your reaction is to back away and leave the site quickly because the content is not engaging and targeted.
After all, the purpose of searching for something on the Internet is find answers or to find a solution to a specific problem or need. You either want education about a subject or you want to find a product or service that solves the issue or problem.
If the blog does not capture the visitor within a few moments, then the visitor never becomes a reader, let alone, a customer.
Everyday new blogs are created with the best of intentions but the fact is that many of these same blogs will end up dying a slow and lonely death after only a few short period of time.
This is largely due to the blogger failing to produce enough high quality content on a regular basis.
Here at WA we have the ability to create blogs for the community. Many of these blogs are about our experiences in this business and about new things that we learn along the way.
Have you ever stopped to think that this is a perfect place to practice the craft of creating engaging blogs and articles that are full of life and vigor instead of dull and lifeless with one paragraph already in the grave.
I encourage you to write everyday and create blogs here to practice and learn. Try new ideas and approaches. These techniques can be polished on us so that when you write for your site, you have learned how to be a master at creating good content.
There is no room for being average online anymore. The days of creating lifeless content and having it build traffic and sales simply because it is there is dead and gone.
The content today has to be targeted and engaging and alive. The competition is bigger than ever today, but the opportunities on the Internet are also bigger than ever.
You will be rewarded once you start creating remarkable content. Your blog will get a massive amount of activity both in social interactions and in overall traffic. People will start to talk and spread the word that your blog and site is worth visiting. Once this happens, the sales and other monetizing methods will start to increase.
Keep your content fresh and full of life. Create your content often so that readers have new material to read and engage with. Over deliver in all things. This will amaze your visitors and readers and leave a lasting impression that they will share causing your content to go viral.
If you do these things, your blog and site will live and not die the painful death of neglect and loneliness. It will never have to be buried in the blog graveyard!
Keep Writing!!!
Dave.

Agree with you! We need to engage our readers, and keep their curiosity and interest in our subject niche and WA blogs are a good way to practice, as well as engaging with the community here!
Regards, Lisa
Hm, sounds sad, but I guess that all beginnings are with ups and downs, just as you mentioned, it improves with time, when we learn from mistakes.
I've seen it, and I'm guilty of it. You have to stay with it! To not consistently update your blog is like a store that doesn't restock what's sold. Eventually people will stop coming to see what's new.
Hi Dave
Great Post! I agree with your opinion that if we write blogs here, it is a good practice and learning for our future as a blogger.
