Using a buy now button
In addition to in-text natural linking strategies, does anyone suggest a "buy now" button that links to the product page from our sites? I am using a product-based site.
Thanks!

Hi, Dshmizil. I also have a product-based affiliate site and Steve's tutorial (referenced in Rich's response) has been invaluable to me so far. I'm still implementing quite a few of his suggestions to make my site even stronger. Granted, my site is still a work-in-progress and I haven't realized any commissions yet, but, I'm working on it :o)
Just my opinion on "buy now" buttons -- I chose not to use them because they seemed a little too sales pushy to me (given the nature of my site). I wanted to encourage visitors to check out the products I'm recommending in a way that doesn't seem "car salesman-like." I, myself, would be put off by that.

Yeah you're right. Always have to think about what we ourselves would like! Thanks
