Don't Let Your Past Define You
Don't let your past influence your future. You work very hard to change your behavior and live a better quality of life, but you past will always try to draw you back in.
Even changing jobs because you're not happy where you're at, should not be looked at as another opportunity, even though you might be tempted to. If you had been happy they are to begin with, you would never have left the first time. Sometimes, the culture may change; but unless there is a total makeover of the company or new ownership, the problems you had before will always resurface.
We are nothing if not a culture of habits. and we are often tempted to revisit our old stomping grounds. There is an expression that says you can't go home again, which also applies here, visiting your past in memories is one thing, but trying to recapture your past is not always the best thing.
There have been times when I've left companies and then tried to go back. When I went back I often found that the culture there was the same and hadn't changed and found myself regretting going back to work for that company.
Always look forward to the future and new challenges!
