Through Rejection a Passion is Found

I went on my first interview in 15 years last week for an Administrative Assistant position. I received a letter today notifying me that I was not going to be called back for a second interview. Ouch, that hurt.

But then I sat at my computer and went onto Wealthy Affiliates and I was smiling. I spent another day working on my websites. I wrote a new post, edited and rewrote some pages and added more images. Then it dawned on me that I don't want to be an Administrative Assistant. I want to succeed with my websites and my own business. I love writing and being creative. I want to be my own boss and not have a anyone breathing down my neck except myself.

I have never been a risk taker. I have always thought I needed the security of a job or career because I wouldn't have the ability to succeed otherwise. I left my fate in other people hands my whole life only to be limited, controlled and knocked down. Why would I want that again? I am capable of running my own business. Wealthy Affiliates has proven to me that I do have the drive, perseverance, ability and strength to create and grow on my own terms.

I have been a member for a month and 5 days and it has been the best, most enjoyable month and 5 days of my entire career. I never smiled as I was on my way to work. This rejection has affirmed what I already knew and that is that I have found my new passion and I will never let it go.

I thank Wealthy Affiliate and the whole community for helping me realize my abilities and my passion. I wake up everyday loving life and look forward to learning, achieving and growing.
