Hi everyone,
One of the biggest hurdles we face when starting out is looking at the landscape and thinking, "There is no room for me here."
When I decided to enter the golf space, the fear of a saturated market was very real. The broader golf niche is completely dominated by top brands, established magazines, and creators who have been doing it for years. I knew that already, since I was heavily consuming golf content myself.
The competition was serious, no joke. This made me think of an angle to enter the market. After some days of evaluating the options, I decided on golf balls. It was a fairly low price barrier to test them for reviews, and I could use my experience as a fairly new golfer to bring a different perspective to the readers.

I never intended to compete with any of the big four brands or try to be the next top golf magazine. All I wanted was to have a different approach and help people choose the perfect golf ball for their game.
How about you?
Have you ever felt like the niche you wanted to enter was already too saturated?
How did you handle the fear of competing with established creators?
Thanks for reading,
Dan
