Day 1, Part 2: The newbie curiousity has remained

MAKE MONEY! How you will make money online…….
So it seems there’s much work to be done before I get my hands on this loot!
Niche (I’m going to struggle….too many ideas and interests), website (starting to feel more tangible) and traffic (I know nothing!!….tell me more).
Laying a good foundation is being emphasised over-and-over.
With more emphasis on the niche and you must have a website!
This time last year, I was lying in my sick bed recovering from pneumonia (I coughed so hard I fractured my ribs!) when I suddenly just decided to buy a domain name. I must have been delirious at the time because I never did anything with it. I paid for .net and .co.uk and heavens only knows what else because admittedly, I didn’t really know what I was doing.
Then I bought an online business course about marketing….which I still have access to, but never completed. Ah for another day! I’m doing this and two more courses through my work. Quality Improvement and project management, plus my work is super crazy at the minute. Can I really do this?
And there we have more potential niches – Acute and Chronic illness (maybe something more specific), being an affiliate, business courses (need to be more specific), Healthcare, Project Management.
Certainly, once I decide on my niche and build my website, the passion needs to kick in to keep me going whilst I fulfil all my other obligations. I’m mum to a gorgeous and funny nine-year old girl. And there we have more potential niches...
Back to the course. Word Press. And now I am laughing at how ridiculous I have been before now. Trying to figure out how to earn money online. I also signed up for a word press blog related to this website I had purchased whilst experiencing a temperature of 39oC. Never did anything with that, both because I didn’t know how and I had no support or mentor.
Now I’m not stupid at all. I have multiple qualifications including a PhD in Pharmacy which has served me very well in my career to date.
WA is appealing to me now as I have already received so many offers of support and advice in just 24 hours of my starter membership. Maybe I will finally stop feeling overwhelmed and figure this all out.
Back to the course and I’ve learnt six ways to make money from Word Press (great tutorial from Victoria who I am already following). Time to start making notes. I’m away to get my notebook and pen.

I definitely relate to having too many interests and feeling overwhelmed with online entrepreneurship. While growing up, I wanted to go down at least 20 different career paths! I kept changing my mind due to so many interests. When I started learning about online entrepreneurship, I felt overwhelmed for a long time. I still feel overwhelmed sometimes but it's getting better. Just focus on one thing at a time. Not easy, I know lol. And to answer your question, yes you can do this. You can do anything you set your mind to.
