Hey all,

I wanted to share some quick tips and combine a lot of different information I have seen around to help out others and hopefully make a ultimate guide to SEO for you.

When I started almost a month ago now, I thought there was some "give" on these items, and there really isn't. If you follow it to the "T" you will succeed.

Wealthy Affiliate has so much information, and so much detail and training, that it's both a blessing and a curse at the same time. It can be so overwhelming. If you follow this from the creation of your site, to the end of every post you make, you will do great.

Domain and Site specific:
  1. Pick a Niche that is very refined. The training goes over this very well, and you need to be very specific.
  2. Pick a Website Domain Name that is short, and easy to remember, and is relevent to your specific niche. (Don't make your domain FrogsAreTheBestAmphibiansOnTheEarth.com)
  3. Choose a URL that is relevant to your Niche (Don't pick a domain ilovefrogs.com, and talk about cats the whole time)
  4. Pick a clean, easy to use, and not too flashy theme. Flashy themes look nice, but they cause too much loading and your website can run slower, which in the end can affect your rankings with the search engines.
  5. Configure your SEO plugins, add Google Analytics, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Search Console codes in SEO plugin.
  6. Configure your theme how you'd like it to look. Setup your page requirements for affiliates and disclaimers.
  7. Start signing up for some affiliate sites (Yes, a lot of people say don't do this until you have some content, but i've found that *SOME* affiliates will still approve you.
  8. Sign up for a Google Business (you will be sent a code to your house/location to confirm your business) You don't need a address or business location customers to go to.
Post specific:
  1. Research key words
  2. Use long-tail keywords
  3. Write 1500 words per post, preferably.
  4. Use internal links to your own sites and external links (non affiliate) to authoritative sites on EVERY post.
  5. Keep every post relevant to your topic
  6. Post 3 times a week, or more if you can.
  7. Take breaks when you need them, they are very important and help resolve/prevent writers block.
Social Media:
  1. Start Social media accounts on any site you can think of, but especially Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
  2. Pinterest is good for most niches, but works great for food, money, finance and other niches.Twitter is great for technology based niches. Find the Social media that works best for your niche, and stick to it. If you have questions on specific social media, you're welcome to reach out and I can help additionally.
  3. Tweet, Share, or Pin every post you make. Follow all of the great social media tips you've been given in other locations. Try to get followers.
  4. Make videos that are niche relevant if you want to go down that path. I can recommend this, as I am just starting to get in this some and it's working well for me.
Other information
  1. Find which users on WA post often and give great tips. You will find many of these wonderful people have lots of information and howto's. Many of them you can go through their blog posts and find the information you're looking for.
  2. Use the search bar, and be specific about what you're looking for. Almost any SEO and website topic will come up. Typically I find better content in WA then I do on google, and I can trust it more.
  3. Complete your trainings from Kyle. His trainings are great, and really give you the foundation you need. Get as far as you can, as quickly as you can absorb it. Work through the information and get to a place you can test.

Finally, remember that no matter how much information you learn, no matter how fast you get through everything. You will make mistakes, and that is ok. You're learning and learning from those mistakes is what matters.

Try out different research options. Try out different formats of posts. The important part is the content, and keeping it relevant to the niche you've chosen.

This is what I have followed, or tried to follow, and I know i've probably made mistakes, but I am not seeing much rankings yet, but am getting over 1000 impressions in searchs so far, and some of my keywords are coming up in the 5-10/first page ranks. My clicks are pitiful, and average position is low, but this can be expected for a new site.

Keep on writing that content, and have fun! If you haven't went premium, you get so much access once you do, that the information alone is worth it.

You will also get:

Website hosting

Site Support

Ultimited Jaxxy Research

More training from Kyle

And many more, just to name a few.

If you're new to WA, or haven't seen it before, remember you can always try it out for free to see what all of the commotion is.
