Discouragement

I was going back and forth on whether I should write this post or not. I was on my way to signing up for adsense when I was rejected. I was saying to myself how did this happen.

All of my content up to this point has been all mine. Every thought, feeling, and questions. However, they were all blog post. So I tried my first crack at a review post and I guess that's where I went wrong.

I was writing material on a product/service that I was going to advertise as well. However, in my attempt to give factual content I used some website information so that my content could be in congruence with the website.

I guess Google adsense didn't like that. So now I feel discouraged and lost. I don't know what to do next. I was trying to follow the training and task as followed to become successful at this affiliate marketing thing.

But now that I messed up I'm feeling like I failed at something and may not make it to the end of my journey. I wanted to stop so bad because of this hurdle but something is telling me to keep going.

Feeling discouraged and confused

Hi Dallas, don’t be discouraged. I tried to do Google Adsense and it didn’t like my website either. I just figured if they are going to be that picky...well...who needs them.

There are thousands of other affiliate programs out there to use...and none of them are near as picky as Google Adsense.

Go to the side menu of WA and see where it says Affiliate Programs? Click it and check out all the different programs there. It’ll renew your spirit when you see what is there to offer you much more for monetizing your website.

I wish you the best!

Bob

Great point, Bob! You're right--who needs them? It seems like I hear about their callous rejections quite often.

Jeff

We as affiliate marketers can find many such programs all we have to do is go find them. Some may even pay better commissions than Google's Adsense in some cases.

Bob

I agree wholeheartedly, Bob!

Jeff

👍😀

I agree with the others as well. In fact, I just read Kyles White paper, one of the bonuses we get for the black friday sale, and he says, especially for 2020, that Google isn't that keen on blog posts containing adsense. I would focus more on relevent affiliate products that tie into your content. But, by no means should you give up.

Thank you ramr50. I'm hoping this was just a learning curve from this bump in the road. The WA community has uplifted my spirit tremendously. I can't thank you all enough. I will take y'all support and encouragement and run with it. I won't stop so cheers to the next task. Here I come. Thanks again

I feel the same way about things to an extent myself. I do have Adsense on my website but my discouragement is coming from no traffic yet or very little traffic and also I’m running out of ideas to write posts. So what I’m doing is just taking a break from things for a while then come back to it. I wish you the best and know that things will turn out great for you.

Thanks Michael Mart3. It's folk like you that will make and push me through this situation. I was unsure if I should write a post about the way I feel and now I'm glad I did because of you guys. The support and encouragement is without a doubt stirring me in the right direction to push forward.

Keep going. Jay told us tonight that he was very ill but pushed through to do the webinar. I thought that was pretty inspiring. I've hit so many bumps my progress is up and down and up and down. If you really believe in this process you can do it. Let this be a small failure that leads to big success.
Barb

Thanks Barbara and I will just let this be a small failure and motivation to keep going.

Yes as others are saying, don't let this stop you. There are a number of ways to monetize your site and AdSense is just one.

I do not know the niche you are pursuing, but generally, there are many sources where you can tap into to promote products or services.

Have a look at the Affiliate Programs feature here and also do some Google searches to look for other options. As Mark says, you can always reapply later with AdSense if you want or need to.

It can be tough when this happens but looking for Plan B sometimes is a blessing in disguise. New doors open when other doors close is what I always say...

Hang in there!

Cheers!
Dave : )

Thanks DaveSw. I will continue with plan b as you have stated and to know that there are other ways I can reach my destination is reassuring.

Absolutely! : )
