In this industry, or really any other business venture, one needs needs needs to have self motivation...Why? Because the world's general public does not excel at what we as aff
Motivation....will someone somewhere post a dollar amount on what their marketing. Or how about someone post a positve blog on a work at home business. I've been researching for weeks, doing follow ups to bogs, I have yet found anyone in a commumity to give positive feedback. Something positive that works would give me some Motivation. Maybe the research is getting to me.
Sometimes the financial challenges one goes through can provide enough motivation; a driving force to get oneself out of the situation. the desire to have what one can call his/hers e.g own online marketing business. Drewd366 thank you for bringing up the issue of motivation;whether intrinsic or external it is a critical factor in this business.
I am with @meaghost on this one. I love to write and I've always wanted to publish and no more putting it off!! :) I also know that I can have a career in IM and look forward to the freedom to call all the shots in my life. Also, I love WA. I am motivated to log in each day to connect with others and learn more and more. It's all good! :-)
haha I get fired up to log in everyday as well! this online community is honestly so unreal. Stay motivated and fired up!
Knowing that I need to provide for myself all of my needs is motivation enough. Not ever wanting to be on the government dole for Anything is also a great motivator. That does it for me.
What motivates me is working toward making money at something I actually enjoy. As it is, I'm just creating content without even trying to make money yet and the topic is one dear to my heart, so I love doing it. The thought that eventually it will become a profitable business is more than enough to keep me going. That said, I'm only 4 days in so I guess we'll see =P

One article I discovered in problogger.com mentioned about writing about a fictional customer you think will be coming to your site.

Well, from my very little knowledge a product has to be something that addresses a problem. So I'm guessing that the best product idea would be one that addresses or solves a problem. Not just any small problem, it must be a major problem. Something emotional or probably physical that people would like to get rid of
I'm not understanding your question. Do you mean original products or products from affiliates to promote on your website?
Regarding affiliate products, they are totally niche related. You have a number of options. Study affiliate products from the major promoters like Clickbank, ShareaSale, Commission Junction, et al. You will find hundreds of online products to promote. Pick the ones that relate to your niche.
You can assess from the affiliate promotion companies which ones are best sellers.
But, I agree with Meredith...what are YOU passionate about? Iphones may be great sellers but if you hate technology and you do not use the product, you won't make money as an affiliate because you won't be able to put together a convincing review.
Some WA members make money from affiliates by promoting Kettle Bells for getting in shape. I can't make money from Kettle Bells because I don't know anything about them and I have no interest which means I do not have a convincing story. Get it?
A cliche but true. what are you interested in? What are you passionate about? Think of a few things that you won't get bored writing about in a few months. Take your niche and type it in your search bar, niche + affiliate and you will find affiliate programs for that stated niche. Good luck to you!

On my desk I have my Mac, a memory stick, an external hard drive, my wallet (empty today), some anti inflammatory stuff, my point and shoot camera (Casio) specifically for golf coaching, my smart phone, a pen, my hearing aids ("what's that?" you say. "Ha ha funny" I reply, batteries for my mouse and finally a set of Sennheisrer headphones.
each and every one of those is a niche.
Now in the rest of the room I have ……..
Actually the most interesting thing in the room is a gift I was given from Argentina which is a cup to drink Make tea with - interesting. Go look it up.
