The Foodie Agenda
The Foodie is always searching and luckily for us finding great restaurants. The Foodie always lets you in on these tasty finds. Obviously with Mother's Day fast approaching it's important to know great places for "Brunch". Here in Las Vegas you have "Lavo" at the Palazzo, Drew's Menu pick (Lemon Ricotta Waffles) "Fleur" at Mandalay Bay, Drew's Menu Pick (Angus short ribs benedicts) simply scrumptious. Finally, there is "Bardot Brasserie" at Aria. Drew's Menu Pick (Gruyere Omelet) don't ask, just enjoy it.
I would be remiss in my duties as a true foodie by not mentioning my favorite place in the Napa Valley, "The Boon Fly Cafe" it's one of the few places where everything on the menu is top rate. You must order their mini donuts, they are incredible. You haven't tasted a Bloody Mary until you tasted theirs, with a slice of bacon along with the other garnishes inside (by the way, these were the guys that came up with that).
I was just in Hollywood last week for the TCM Classic Film Festival, and we went sailing(my wife and I) in Redondo beach while we were there.(It was perfection) We were also fortunate enough to visit some great restaurants in Hollywood, one stood out. It's simply called "Soul" and yes you guessed it, southern cooking at it's finest. The restaurant has an elegant ambiance, and my Drew's pick for "Brunch" on that one is (Soul Fried Chicken and Waffles) the word, delectable, comes to mind. I have to end this off with a reccomendation on the East Coast, New York City to be exact. It's called the "Cookshop" it is excellent. Drew's pick (The Lamb Burger) and yes it's that good. The Foodie is a creature of habit, always seeking the next best restaurant, the next great dish. That is happily a habit of mine. I hope all of you have a Mother of some kind to share "Brunch" with next weekend, a spouse, a Mother in law and of course maybe your actual Mom, as long as they hold the title of Mom, it's all good. In the meantime, sit down and eat up!
DREW.

I've always thought the best way to see places is to taste your way through them!

This does not help those of us on the East Coast...except to make us hungry. If you throw a rock in NYC you'll hit a good restaurant.
For Waffles and Chicken - The Breakfast Klub in Houston is amazing
Thanks Marcus, next time I'm going to add in some healthier food suggestions, maybe you can make some recommendations on some home recipes as well as food we should order from a restaurant menu.
This all sounds so fabulous. I have visited all three places, just the once but I loved the U.S.A and after reading this I really miss the vibrancy of all three and now I’m starving.... thanks.
Maybe I will get to visit again one day.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen
