I'm 1 week and 1 day into my new website, but have worked on it A LOT! I've submitted my sitemap a couple of days ago and I'm beginning too see some of my web pages on Google.</

The more the better. Keep adding content and check your results on Google Analytics. You are off to a great start!

You're doing great, Dren! Keep it up! I attend college full time so it's hard for me to spend as much time as I would like on here but I've been here for over a month and have about 500 visitors to my site, so you are definitely doing an awesome job!

Thanks Matt, exactly the comment i was looking for :) (Not that the others were bad) . I hope the best for you and your site!

Goodluck,
Dren

Goodluck to you as well, Dren! It makes me happy that even at the age of 16 you're exploring ways to make money that isn't considered by society "the thing to do". I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from an awesome mentor, Jim Rohn.

"Formal education will make you a living, self-education will make you a fortune"

~Matt

Thanks for that quote I appreciate it. Will definitely remember that quote forever now

Good job Dren, you are doing great, you motivate me to work harder.

Comments like this motivate ME. Means a lot to me, thank you. Trust me as long as you put your mind and a bit of work into it you can achieve anything.

It is early indeed.

I'm a 16 year old into affiliate marketing have been for a while. I always had a motto of "I don't want to work for anyone, i want to be my own boss" and had interests in market

No. You aren't. We have several members your age and still in high school.

I see your question has been answered so I wont repeat that.
But, I'd say, go for it ! as long as you involve a parent and don't leave them in the dark, you are good to go.

Do not see your age as a drawback, but rather an advantage. Experience in java etc or not. Here at WA you can start all from scratch and educate yourself.

Welcome and good luck ! You are in safe hands here at WA and shielded from the evil internet traps, scams and destruction.

ps: Half your aim should be to work as hard on choirs home while doing affiliate work. So you have your parents goodwill the day you discover that feature/tool you drool to have and miss a VISA card

Definitely not My Dad signed my business checks for two years when I was 16, and that was a long long time ago. if you have your parents support go for it
Catherine

NOT AT ALL, age is just a number. It is only an issue for the legal responsibility side of things which you seem to have covered.

If you have the right mindset GO FOR IT!

Don't let others dictate or hold you back many of the Worlds Business Tycoons started younger than you.

You've got some catching up to do! ; )

An understanding of coding (or that mindset) can be useful for advanced purposes but not at all necessary to become a successful affiliate marketer.
A willingness to keep learning and take everything taught here one step at a time (It's not a race) will put you in a great position.

If you go through the training here and don't understand something just ask us here in the community were quite friendly you know!

Wishing you the greatest of success

Dave

Age is no excuse Dren, everyone of all ages around the world have made the decision to create wealth and be their own boss. Everywhere from like 6-100 years old human beings have decided to create sources of income.

You already have a vision of what you want, and that's half the battle. Go through the training as much as you can and create content as often as you can. This business takes some time but allow it to take time and it'll reward you.

It's either work for someone else for 50+ years and try to survive on retirement or create your own sources of income and scaling them to the high levels for 2-5 years and then be set for life. Starting out young is an advantage! ;)

I wish you abundant success for the years to come. Following you! :)

Cheers,
Colton

I have a friend who is now an adult, but has been making (very good) money online since he was, 15 I think? Too young has nothing to do with it- drive and persistence is what counts!

Michelle has a Great point about your parents permission for WA, and the need to be 18 for affiliate relationships with most companies- but there are other ways to earn income. Besides, it's never too early to start learning all you can and building - because 18 will come sooner than you think. If you already have a framework in place (and ranked!) it will be that much easier to turn on the affiliate stream!

Thank you, that's very motivating for me to hear that :). Best of luck to you !

That sounds awesome.I hope everything works out very well for you. I have just recently built my website. Could you please stop by and leave a comment. I will do the same for you. http://wheatgrassandcoconutoil.siterubix.com/

Thanks,
Steve

Same to you! Best of luck and Thank You.

Hi. We do have a few teenagers that are a part of Wealthy Affiliate, but you'd probably want to check and be sure it is absolutely ok with your parents that you join.

The only thing that could be an issue is that you usually need to be 18 to sign up with affiliates to be able to promote their products on your website. You would need your parents help with that one.

It sounds like you have thought about this and even discussed it with your folks. I hope it works out for you! :)

Thanks for replying extremely fast, very much appreciated. Good luck!
