I know what they are but I'm constantly seeing them referenced but don't think it's clicking for me. Is it just the search box your audience can use to look for products?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's unpaid results.
The keywords you choose, type of content you write, way you lay out the page etc all affect this.
You'll learn a bit about it as you go through the WA course. But this is also worth a read: http://searchengineland.com/guide/what-is-seo
Thank you! Everything I've been reading says the same thing the same way. Appreciate the help

Is there anything you'd tell yourself when you first began this site, that would help them going forward?
If I was starting all over again like I did back in 1997, i would tell myself 'be patient'. I think that has always been my downfall ;)
Hello, Nice to meet you. Welcome to WA! This is a great place to learn and grow. If you need anything, do not hesitate to ask anyone here. I had a brand new person ask me a question and I decided to put my answer on a blog to help others begin at WA. It is a newbie perspective of starting here since I too am pretty new. You can read it on my profile under the blog title of: Thank You For Following Me. Where Do I Start? Hope you find it useful. Dave. Thank You For Following Me. Where Do I Start? Setting Goals, Training For Newbies, Reviewing The Basics For All
Thank you! It seems like it's true, you ask and you shall receive! I just created a small blog about just that! I'll check them out and will get back to you! :)
As a newbie i am kinda overwhelmed by all the information out there. I am going to work at my own pace, i want to feel confident and comfortable with each step of the process. My goals are high but i can't put a number on them at this point!
Same here. I had a quicker pace in mind but everyone says follow the process and don't skip ahead until you feel confident going forward so you'll get the most out of it . Good luck in your journey !
Hi and welcome to WA. I advise following the training exactly as it is laid out, don't skip any steps. Sometimes people try and hurry their way through it, but work at your own pace and don't look at this as any type of race.
We are all going about this in different ways, but we all reach the finish line at some point. Take your time and make sure you understand what you are doing. If you don't, definitely use the help bar at the top and ask any and all questions. No question is stupid. People are here to help. :)
Thank you! That is kind of what I figured. I guess I'm stuck on feeling behind. I won't rush the process just feels like I should be farther.
Even though you feel behind, don't compare yourself to others. :) Some people have an easy time going through the training, while others take longer to grasp all the material. There is so much to learn, it can be very overwhelming (it was for me). Just do the best you can for YOU and then you are not behind, you are right on track. :)
Thanks, that was very nice of you to say. A lot of people here would give you the same type of advice. :)
I would definitely stop worrying about where you are on your site and the training. We all have lives to lead and you work on WA when you are able. You'll get there. :)
True but you got to be here in my moment of frustration and discouragement and got to be my positivity. Glad to have a community because I'm sure we all have those moments and maybe some time from now I'll get to return the favor
We all have those moments of frustration and everything else, Erista, but push through them and keep moving forward. This community will surely help you continue on. Great talking to you and I'll bet we run into each other again. :) All the best!
