Is 'vagina' a bad word?...well, according to Street Articles, it is! Here's what happened...
After much hesitation and thought, I finally settled down the other night to write my first article on Street Articles..this was the next big step for me, as I had spent every waking hour outside my regular work putting content into my website!
So, I started writing my article...everything going fine, well almost until I accidently closed the page..a word of advice...save your work as draft as you go along or your will find you will lose all your hard work in one silly manoeuvre like I did!
Finally, after much time had surpassed, I finished my article, added an image and a few links in and hit 'save & publish'......imagine my surprise when SA quickly proof read it and stated I couldn't use 'vagina' as it was considered a 'bad' word! LOL....I literally laughed out loud!
Allow me to explain...my original context of using this particular word was explaining a certain symptom (namely vaginal dryness) and how taking a particular herb could benefit from this problem. In my humble opinion, I wasn't writing gratuitous content and believe I used the right 'expression' in this context!
Still in humorous disbelief, I asked my husband what other word I could use instead...and believe me the one's he gave me were not the most appropriate! (I'll let your imagination run wild here!)
Instead, I opted for 'dryness in the women's urinal area' .
The article is still pending...so wish me luck!:0)
