Standing in the light
Standing in the light
Walking silently with my dog
under the stars on a cold winter night
Feeling the crisp winter air on my face
breathing in the sharpness of the cold
Experiencing the freedom of movement
displayed by Bruce who seems to float
on the snow as if moving on a cloud
Then suddenly the quietness is illuminated
by the sky opening up providing me
with a kaleidoscope of colors
that nature can only produce
Those dancing lights spread
from all 4 corners of the sky dance in
unison to the music they can only hear
It leaves me transfixed not moving a muscle
eyes fixated leaving me alone with a feeling
so beautiful as if I have become one with nature
At the end of the lights as they fade away
the coyotes howl to let me know
they have witnessed this scene
many time before and welcome my presence.

Thanks for sharing :)
I enjoyed writing this as it brought back many memories when living on the farm in Manitoba.
That's awesome :)
