I would like to get better results for my website speed for mobile users. My score is in the 50's and 60's. I would like it better than that. I also would like to know which pl

I had the same question and site support told me I would be better off with no plugin since Wordpress already includes site optimization. But I would love to hear everyone else’s opinion on this!

I have found you have to take what site support ells you. Not as gospel but with a grain of salt. I have caught them lying to me to get me pacified to get rid of me.

When I confront them on it. No apology at all. I guess it is better then no support at all. If you find them giving you advice that just does not add up or being to vague. Reach out to other WA members. If nothing you may have to research on the internet too.

What I'm trying to say is keep at it till you are satisfied with your answer.

Generally speaking, listening to others who have tried something already is great, no doubt, but making experiments on your end to check out the results on your own is great also and sometimes greater than just listening. I tried the optimization plugin I mentioned here, and changes went from almost zero to about 50 on mobile and from about 30 to about 100 on desktop. If no optimization plugin like that is used, a lot of work would be required from you or someone else with more experience.
Tom

Great advice. Thank you!

You’re welcome, anytime!

Plug ins are a tricky business! I always recommend doing a search for "the best plug for whatever" then continue your research. Too many plugins will slow down your site, but the right plugin will make it what you want it to be.

Once you know a great plugin that works for many of us, I hope you share it with us!

Thank you :)

Lot of that depends on what you want to accomplish with your site.

For speeding up your site try https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/. I tried it and the speed score was remarkably improved on desktop and mobile.
Tom

I like your recommendation.

Thank you so much, my friend. :)

How many plugins should you have on your website? I've read not more than 5. Does more than 5 slow down your site?

I run about 11. Only use what you really need and toss the others that are of no use. It is a myth that only have 5 plugins. you can use as many as you need.

The more you load the more you will have to clean your cashe.

I run way more than that. What's important is that you only use what you need and that the plugins you choose are well coded and kept up-to-date.

Thank you so much :)

Any time.

I've been using WP Super Cache for speed and the WPtouch mobile plugin, so my stuff shows up on mobile devices.

If you go to AMP I find it works great.

Lazy Load :)

I just installed it, thank you very much :)

another good plugin.

Well i havent got there yet ive only been here a little shy of a week you could try to ask your coach or maybe carson

She did it the right way. Reaching out to other WA members works fine.

Earnings at risk - One or more of your sites does not have an ads.txt file. Fix this now to avoid severe impact to your revenue.

Hi thank you for your message. I’am new at, can you tell me how to fix this.
Thank you , again

Hi John,
I posted below how to fix this if you use AdSense on your site.

As of Jan. 2019 you do need to add that to your site to help protect your earnings. The Ads.txt file stands for Authorized Digital Seller and without it you may lose money if you use AdSense on your sites. There's a plugin called ads.txt manager which you can read about here..> https://wordpress.org/plugins/ads-txt/
This page gives you an over view of what to do.
https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-create-and-manage-ads-txt-files-in-wordpress/
Hope this helps you.

Thank you so much! When will Adsense see that I made the changes and turn ads back on again?

I am so thankful!
Donna

It could take a few for this to happen, I would give it 24 to 72 hrs. If it hasn't happened by then I would contact customer support and inquire about how to get that active again for you.

Thank you again, you have been such a great help!

Hi Donna - someone else was asking about this last week, and ended up being helped through it via Site Support:

Thank you, I will check that out now.

Donna, I just left a comment on Sparrow's site. I don't know if that is the one you are talking about. If not let me know and I will try another website.

Hi Helen,
Yes, Sparrows site is the one. I fixed any issues that it had.
Thank you,
Donna

Well done and a really nice site.

Two photos of our furry fiends. The couch is a three seater so you get some idea of the size of these two. The second is of our current rescue.
