From Me…To You…My First Week With Wealthy Affiliate

Dear Friends

Today marks my first week at Wealthy Affiliate. It has been truly an incredible experience and I have accomplished more than I ever thought possible.

I want to take a few moments to say how grateful I am to be part of this fun and magnificent group of people. The Spirit of generosity and giving from Kyle, Carson and Everyone in this group is what makes WA unique and wonderful.

I appreciate each and every one of you, those in my follow & following networks and those of you who will be soon :-) I assure you I have read each and every profile and feel I know you all a little bit.

The one constant theme that I see and feel in all your wonderful profiles, is that this is a group of dedicated and determined individuals. All of you are moving forward to create positive changes in your lives, while helping others to do the same. You Are Simply Amazing!

I would like to share with you something I wrote many, many years ago (I wrote it on a clay tablet with a stylus). And over the years, when I have been at a turning point, it has resurfaced in my life. I might be looking for something in a box, or cleaning out a draw and there it is.The Universe has such a wonderful sense of humor! And it surfaced again a few days ago.I hope you will enjoy it and even possibly relate to it.

“Revisions”

A long time ago, but not so long that you couldn’t remember if you really wanted to, an author wrote a story. With careful consideration, she chose the characters, picked the perfect setting and determined the plot.And having done all this, she put the story away and forgot about it, and went on with the business of life.

Many years later, while cleaning out something in her life, she came upon the story. At first, she didn’t recognize it. Was she really the author of this? She couldn’t remember writing it. Couldn’t understand why she would have written it that way. It wasn’t a very pleasant story. At best, it was only “so-so”, certainly it was nothing she could sell. And yet, as she read it over, she realized that yes indeed, she was the author of this story. And more importantly, she identified with it.

She gave the matter some thought. She decided that, although, she was not pleased with it, the story was basically a good story. The plot had a good foundation to it. The main character, though undeveloped, had wonderful potential and great possibilities. She really felt she could have some fun with this. So with great determination and total commitment, she set about rewriting her story.

She put her whole mind, heart and spirit into the project and soon it became a process of love. The story took on a life of its own, flowing with a new life force, literally vibrating with a new energy.

She fleshed out the main character. She gave this character new resources and new choices.She gave her maturity that comes with age and wisdom that comes with letting go. Keeping the strength of the character, she softened the hard edges. She allowed her to look at old pictures with new eyes. And perhaps the most important gift she gave this character, was the ability to laugh and have fun. She also allowed her to cry.

She looked at the story line and she elaborated and embellished the parts that worked. She made them bigger and brighter and ever more enjoyable. And she changed, and in some cases, just got rid of what didn’t work. After all, this was her story and she could do whatever she wanted. There were no limitations here.

There was also a much younger character, much like the main character, which just needed some new understanding and resources. She recognized that this character was essential to the development of the story. It was important to preserve her original essence.She did this by acknowledging the importance of this character. She safely brought her out of the shadows and revised her part in such a manner, that she was reunited to the main character in a very loving way. And as she had always supported the main character, now the main character could support her. And together they made one helluva team.

She played with the whole cast of secondary characters, the ones that keep a story interesting and going. Each one was looked at from a new perspective and in a new light. These characters didn’t change much, just her attitude towards them.That alone made all the difference.

She felt Divinely inspired and had an abundance of new ideas. But there were times along the way when she got blocked. So, she consulted with some wonderful experts, who helped her to develop new possibilities and added delightful new twists and turns to the plot, while preserving its integrity.

And as time went on, she began to fall in love with the story, its characters and the direction it was taking. And as she did, she noticed the tone of the story was becoming lighter and brighter and far more interesting. There was a connectedness to the whole story that had been missing before. She was thoroughly enjoying herself and having a lot of fun. Revising her story was such an enriching and rewarding experience in itself that, she was delightfully surprised when she realized her “so-so” story was becoming a “Best Seller novel”!! And that this was just….
