My Journey So Far: 7 Weeks In....
Well, technically it's really only been 5 or 6 weeks since I spent nearly two weeks trying to transfer my old sites over and screwing them up...
So, I joined WA in August 13th 2013 after several times of me "throwing in the towel" with other internet marketing coaching sites and programs. I've probably built 5 or so different sites in the past, all of which are no longer up nor running, and I wasn't very proud of those sites because either: A) My niche wasn't something I really cared about, B) I was only promoting a single product, C) I was going broke from using only PPC advertising, D) I chose a overly saturated niche, or E) I wasn't writing quality content and getting SEO rankings. And do I regret making any of those mistakes? Maybe a little. Have I learned from those mistakes? You bet, and that's what truly matters in this game.
So far in these 5-6 weeks, I've chosen a niche I'm passionate about, built my new site, created a custom logo, have several pages of content, have 4 product review pages, have google adsense up, have about 10 different affiliate products I'm promoting on my page, have 6 blog posts and 2 comments, 8 published street articles, and am starting to get indexed in google.
Have I made money? Well...... I made my first $2 on adsense this week, but have not made any affiliate sales yet. Oddly enough, that $2 I made so far on adsense feels great and is just giving me more motivation and also making me feel like there's plenty more to come (which I'm sure there is). I'm still anticipating when I'm going to get my first affiliate sale (soon, probably).
I like my site and have confidence in it and Wealthy Affiliate's methods, so I see myself continue to grow it for years to come, and maybe even build 1 or 2 more sites later down the road. The only down side is that I'm starting to get a little burned from writing content (20 different articles/pages total so far), so I'm going to take a break and start watching some of the Live Video Classes and skimming thru other classrooms and doing some more researching.

Hi DMJ- I've seen you in a lot of the posts that I've been reading posting on as well. I've also checked out your site and you have a lot of information and insight!
It's interesting that you've traveled this road a few times before and are finding the most comfortable fit at WA.
I've looked into 'work from home' sites, but I've never taken the plunge because I always felt like it was a scam and then I'd do some searches to get feedback and generally my instinct was right, it was a scam. WA is the first organization that had a lot of positive feedback.
I'm also keen to take the variety of courses available to learn about this business and make some money while I learn.
