The Better Morning

I know there are plenty of you guys out there that are not morning people what so ever. I'm talking the people who absolutely dread hearing that sound of the alarm clock going off. Hate getting out from under the covers because of the crisp morning air. But just because you are not an early riser and aren't in the highest of spirits when you awake from your slumber, doesn't mean that you can't have a good morning and start your day the right way. So below i am going to share some things that I was taught and have implemented into my morning routine to make my day start off in the right direction.

1) Now I know you aren't morning people to begin with, but by rising 5 mintues earlier to wake up, opening the blinds and getting a 2-3 minute stretch in is an excellent way to wake your body up before hopping in the shower.

2) When it comes to eating breakfast in the morning, in stead of getting something from mickey dee's or a quick bowl of cereal, take the time to cook yourself up some eggs or my personal favorite, a fruit smoothie. This will allow your body to get the proper nutrition it needs to start your day off with a boost (trust me your body will thank you later). Now I know you might be thinking "oh i don't have time for that" well, sure you do as adults we all have the power to have better time management skills and better time management ultimately leads to better decisions, trust me you will not regret it.

3) Now this one is probably my favorite as it helps so much and I really can not stress it enough. Start your morning the night before! For everyone out there that means something different. Whether its get your clothes ready, make a list of things you need to get done for the following day, have all your paper work ready for your boss..etc etc. Better time management is a lifesaver!

4) I highly recommend throwing a fitness plan into your guys daily routines and if you really want to start your morning with a boost, have a morning work out routine to get the body and mind going. Now I am not talking about something crazy, just a quick 15 minute work out. (jump rope, cardio machine, body weight movements, yoga, etc etc) Now if you don't believe that this WILL lead to better results for not just your health but over all life, you should know some of the most successful people in the world implement a daily workout routine.

5) Lastly and the most important, DRINK WATER. Drinking at least 16 oz of water right after you wake up will fire up your metabolism, flush the toxins our of your body, give fuel to the brain, and the obvious one hydrate you. It is proven that your brain is 75% water tissue and when not properly hydrated you face symptoms of fatigue and mood fluctuation easier. So drink your water people!
