Why Do I Write Too Long LOL
Hello WA community!
I just want to pass by in the WA discussions and share my feelings as of the moment. I won't focus much on the quality of this blog, and I hope you don't mind. :)
I'm Overwriting (is that even a word?)
Right now, my fingers and I feel like going in hyper mode. Every time I write a blog post, it seems that I underestimate the amount of content needed to explain my topic. So I overwrite topics and find myself working harder in every post.
For instance, I find my 1,000 word post expanding to 1,500 words, my 800 words turning 1,200, and my 1,500 turning into 2,000 words and above.
I believe this is happening because I include long lists that have at least 7 items or above. Every item has around 2 or 3 paragraphs each and so I feel like I'm having a hard time explaining them all. I'm also adding more sections into my article because I feel not contented with the insights I've covered on the topic.
I believe that long form content is actually good, and it's not like I have a problem with that. But any advice on how I can improve my work and become more efficient in writing will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is no problem with long content. Many readers like in-depth, well researched articles. :-) I know mine do. Take a look at my ArtByHeart website (link in my profile) and you notice what I mean.
Thanks Mira for the advice. I guess I just have to see the bright side of things to make sense of it.
As far as I am aware, long form content (as long as its helpful and not gibberish) is a brilliant thing for ranking purposes and so it sounds like you should keep to it!
I have been in the opposite situation and now I am just getting used to writing with a clear intent and also long form.
Thanks for the advice Matthew, I think the problem with more words is more prone to errors. It means that I will have to edit much harder as well to finish the article.

I don't think writing more content is a bad thing. I actually think it is good for you SEO ranking. On the other hand, underwriting will probably not rank as well. Keep doing what you're doing.

My real concern is the quantity of my published blogs, not words. I want to spread the chances out because not all my pages might rank well. But thanks Jerome, I will still do what I'm doing and hopefully, I'll finish the 2,000+ word post I'm writing right now.
