Today's tip was covered briefly yesterday so I will go into it a little more in detail. When you are commenting on blogs out there you should be trying to comment on blogs that are related to your niche.

This is especially important when you are leaving your web site's URL in the fields that are provided by other website owners.

Now if you do comment on other blogs that aren't related to your own and you leave your URL it isn't going to hurt you by any means. It just wont help you gain any domain authority either.

So it's better to seek out other blogs that are ranking high in google and write fantastic comments that will add to the conversation in a meaningful way.

You might ask, why dose it have to be a great comment and not just some generic comment like "great post"?

The reason is that web owners don't have to link back to you. So if you show great effort in your comments every time you will have a much better chance of them accepting your comment.

If your are targeting high domain authority blogs with this method you will see your domain authority start to get bumped up just from commenting on their blogs.

Now you may also be thinking or asking how do I know what blogs have a high domain authority?

Right now I am limited on time as far as things I want to get done in a day so I only look for one or two blogs to comment on per day.

There are also great blogs you can comment on within the WA comments section and you can see there domain authority as well with the toolbar.

I prefer not to use the comment system here in WA myself because I get enough comments on my blog and I'm more concerned with adding comments to other people's blogs than receiving them on my own blog.
