Status Report

So, I'm about to start Level Three of the Online Entrepreneur Certification. In a month's time I have accomplished the following:

• Bought several domains
• Thought of a long term goal for Affiliate Marketing
• Built my first website with content and pictures
• Geared my Google+ account towards my main goal
• Learned from other people's sites and feedback
• Learned more about SEO than I ever knew before

I even dared to make helpful comments now and then!

I have a good feeling about things to come. Though I haven't made a dime yet, I'm proud of how far I have come. It's like the puzzle pieces are finally forming a recognizable picture.

My Niche

I decided to start out in the dog owner niche. I'm blogging about the wire haired dachshund that my wife adopted for our daughter. As I feared, the responsibility fell at my feet. But, a bond has formed between me and our pet. Learning to care for our dog was very time-consuming. So, why not put it to some use and share the experience? My hope is someone will learn something helpful from my blog. And of course, I want visitors to buy things too once I set up affiliate links for products.

Three Month Goal

I can hardly believe I have done so much in only one month. So, I expect in three months' time I'll have products to offer on my blog via affiliate programs. I also hope to have traffic that has converted into sales.

Six Month Goal

In six months' time, I plan to start a second blog on a different topic. I haven't decided the niche yet. In time, I plan to set up several sites for various niches. When I see success from some of those, then I'll start promoting WA.

That's my plan for now at least. As I learn more, my plans could change.

But right now, I need to turn my attention to the present again and start my Level Three training.
