Help building a website

Hello all!

I am a complete newbie when it comes to building a websites and would love some direction and feedback.

Finally I've come up with an independant, small business idea for a site - thanks to WA helping me get that thinking cap on and would love to see it in action. However I am not sure where to start.

I have found wordpress  themes that look interesting but don't seem to allow me to do all that I would like to offer on my site and would love to know what people think of wordpress. - Any tips and tricks when using wordpress.

My site includes a mini trading kinda section plus other varied pages, so if anyone knows of a wordpress theme I should look at I'm open to suggestions?

I imagine it might be easier and  time effective for me to pay someone to build a site for me however Im pretty strapped for funds and I would like to nut it out for myself.  I figure if I have problems with it down the track Im then more likley to be able to resolve them myself?

 If at the end of all that nutting out I turn out to be nuts for not paying someone else then having the site built might still be an option.  Again not sure where to start I haven't dealt with httml, slowly learning. (newbie)

Building a site with site rubix and all that wa has to offer with hosting is excellent. The 3 hosting accounts I have on plesk I have plans in action,  promoting wa for one.  This website that I refer to in this blog I will have hosted elsewhere, the domain & the hosting seems to totally be the easy bit...

How much does it cost to have a website built for me?

Please help!

Does anyone have any suggestions of articles and info  which will help me in the area of building a a trading kind of website?
