A Hiatus That Maybe Could've Been Avoided
Hello everyone,
I have not been on for the past few months because I decided that WA wasn't really for me. I realize now that if I would've stayed on WA and just taken my time and went slow with this, I might already be making pretty consistent income online at this point. But I decided to try to figure things out and do things a "different way."
Let me tell you something right now, especially if you're thinking about leaving WA; don't try to go and figure all of this stuff out on your own. I was fortunate and blessed enough to be able to make almost all of the money back that I spent just trying to get things to work, create different landing pages (which landing pages are actually one of the more beneficial things I learned how to create!), get involved with affiliate programs that weren't very reputable, etc. The list could go on and on.
What really made me decide to come back to WA was the lack of help, interaction with other like minded people, access to materials, web hosting, etc. If you ever get out of WA, you're on your own and you probably will be thrown to the wolves. There isn't anybody out there that really wants to help you; they just want your money. If you get it, you get it and if you don't, you don't.
I just want you all to know that I did make money. But the money was inconsistant, alot at one time and a little at another time, and just was not a very good experience in my very young marketing career. But every mistake and failure is not the end, but it is the mistakes that we make that propel us forward into doing what is right.
Og Mandino said in his book, "The Greatest Salesman in the World," "I will persist until I succeed." (I recommend if you decide to SERIOUSLY get into marketing, get this book and read it, it has very good principles that will help you to keep focused.) I am not giving up on internet marketing. There is a way to make it, and I believe the only way to TRULY do it is here at WA.
Hang in there. You WILL make it if you persist. Not giving up is the majority of the battle with internet marketing. If I can do it, anyone can do it.

Hey Daniel, welcome back. I am loving the book recommendation. I have read the first several pages and know that I will learn some great things.
I too have been distracted by other shiny objects during my tenure with WA : ).
Would you mind sharing what templates, tools, plugins or themes you are using to create the landing pages? Thanks. I am curious what's been the most effective approach for you in creating landing pages.

For landing pages, some of the WordPress themes are very good templates for landing pages here on WA. You can scroll through and find them in the customize menu if you're wanting to change the theme of your website.
What I have found the best success, most value and ease of use for building actual landing pages is Lander. http://www.landerapp.com. They charge $29 a month for the basic landing pages which is all you will need. They also have a 14 day free trial for you to try the ropes and see if you get the hang of it or not. As far as landing pages go, I have had the highest conversions and made quite a few sales using Landerapp. I am actually going to make one for the WA referral program.
Those are my recommendations, however in this whole game of internet marketing, many times we just have to go with it and go with it until we figure it out. BUT I have personally used lander and I am satisfied with what it provides me in terms of ease of design and smooth looking pages.
