When the Smoke Clears
Hi, my name is Danny, I have been a member of WA for 5 days now and I am absolutely Loving It. I have to admit that I'm still trying to find my way around the site; I know this comes with time and a bunch of "clicks" but I don't want to miss anything. I can't wait until the smoke clears and I can be more focused on my goals, as well as, networking within the community. Things are just a little sporadic right now, but being a Project Manager I'm used to being in this place, for I find myself here at the beginning of every new build. I am currently working on Course 1: Lesson 4 and have already learned some things that I know will be extremely beneficial for the future. One thing I have been taught in life is to see the End from the Beginning then to fill in the gaps to accomplish the goal, so thats what I am in the process of doing... I have the vision of where I want to go, the vision of spending more quality time with my wife and family, the vision of being my own boss, the vision of working from home with no one breathing down my neck, the vision of being freed up to helping others to obtain their goals both on WA and in my new career (niche), the vision of financial freedom. I can see myself in this place even now as I am typing this and let me tell you, it is a beautiful sight. On the other side I also know where I am at and that is just a few steps into my new found adventure. There is no doubt in my mind that I can achieve anything I set out to do, but thats where you all come in... you see there are some things I have to change about myself, I have always been that guy that would rather figure something out than to ask for help, that guy that would rather fake it until I make it, you know, that guy that can fix anything just hand me the big hammer. Well ,I am here to tell you that I'm ready for change! Why walk through the brush when others have already beaten the path? When I look back over my life I can see so many places where asking for help would have made my journey far less painful. So thats where I am at, I am going to continue with the lessons, keep "Clicking" away, and step out of my comfort zone and ask for help. Let the fun begin!

There are people who would quit WA if the newbies were not asking questions. This community loves to teach and learn. You have a lot of vision as well.

I am terrible at asking for help and I have been working on being better at it. I think people like to be asked for help and I try and remember that!
Hi ibmountain, I would have to agree but can honestly say I never really thought about it that way; but why wouldn't they?... I do, unless it's helping people move :)

Danny your blog strikes so many chords within me - I totally get you! I'm in the same place, running around in circles like an excited puppy not knowing what to sniff first. :-) I don't feel terribly comfortable in this state - I've always been very black and white, so I don't do shades of grey or uncertainties very well at all. But - like you - I'm prepared to change. I am really happy to be travelling this road with you and others like you. Looking forward to your next update. Regards Gayle
Good morning Gayle, Thank you for reading my blog... We will just keep telling ourselves - Change is good, change is good! I think the older I get the harder it is, never thought I would be someone that was "set in my ways" - Open minded and willingness will be my new philosophy from this day forward.
