MEDITATION - How Do You Regard Your Work?

WORK IS SUPPOSED TO BE REGARDED AS A JOY AND NOT A DRAG.

β€œHard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.” -Tim Notke, coach.

Your success in any of your endeavors, your work, your job, your profession depends on how you look at it and how you feel about it when you are performing it.

Enjoying what you are doing makes a huge difference as it enhances the production of it. It doesn't matter how little or big or simple or hard the task at hand is, if you enjoy what you do, you'll be more likely to be successful.

But if not, chances are you would detest it, drag it, and eventually it will dissipate as you do not respect it. Why? Because you do not enjoy doing such type of work presented to you.

Never continue in a job you don't enjoy. You can only become truly accomplished at something you love.

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is work that serves your purpose here on earth.

Some people dreamed of being away from their work while they are on their jobs and yet when they are somewhere else, they imagined themselves being on their jobs.

Your chances for success are directly in alignment with the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do. If you don't like your job, why are you there?

If you could not change your job right now, do everything you can to perform your duty in an ethical and honest way otherwise you will despise it more. You'll never achieve real success unless you like what you are doing.

Success in its highest and noblest form calls for peace of mind, enjoyment, and happiness which comes only when you respect and value your work. Thus, you enjoy doing it.

β€œWhen we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too and that includes our own work."

As Confucius said, β€œchoose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

Thank you all so much for your precious time reading this post.

God be with you all always in all ways.

      In light, love, and peace,

      Elizabeth

I have had jobs that I didn't like or enjoy. The jobs I have had that were enjoyable and worth doing weren't always pleasant but the satisfaction of working through that situation made me look forward to future challenges. When I worked for CalTrans on California's highways many times we were the first responders to automobile accidents. Controlling traffic and rescuing and giving first aid to victims could be very unpleasant but being able to ease someone's suffering or save a life left me with a feeling beyond satisfaction and we approached every one of these accidents hoping and working for the best outcome. I consider myself lucky to have had that job, the best memories of my life.

It is not a lucky situation for you.
It is a gift as you were designed at that
particular even to be there for a purpose
and that is to alleviate suffering and save
      a life.

You are so blessed aa you responded to
that call and it takes a real human being
to be able to perform such a noble task.

Thank you so much for your service, Chuck.

      God bless you.

Thank you. I am blessed that God put me in that place. In the afterward of these situations I consider myself to be one of the luckiest and most fortunate people on this good Earth.

And yes you are and not so many
people can actually say that because
not so many people are open to receive
      such good and you did.

      You are so welcome.

      More blessings to you.

I have to agree with that. I just helped someone just now who was having an issue with there browser and I was able to talk her through it to resolve the issue.

It gave me a huge satisfaction in helping her out.

Thank God you were there for
the person and I am sure they
were as glad and as satisfied
      as you.

      God bless you, Tim.

I always thought that was a Paul Harvey quote, Elizabeth! I learn something new everyday!

Oh, maybe he thought it was his.
I do not know. :-) Or maybe he just
adapted it ... that I do not know either
but the main thing is it is a great soul
      searching reflection.

      Have a joyful work, Jeff.

Thank you for sharing. I have always relied on that Confucius quote.

Oh, yes, Dave, a great reminder.

      Thank you so much.

      Blessings more to you.

Yes, you are right, and I am fortunate because I love what I'm doing. Sometimes it gets frustrating when I can't figure out how to do something. However, eventually I work through that and then have learned something new in the process.

      3

Oh, yes, my dear Fran and I quite
      understand that.

You know, when I could not get done
the things I wanted to do, I just keep
at it and persevere until I can. :-)

In a way, I do challenge myself, and
I do feel good once I succeeded.

      Thank you, my dear Fran.

      Peace.
