Are You A Moaner, A Groaner, A Griper, A Whiner Or A Complainer?

Moan, moan, moan. Groan, groan, groan. Gripe, gripe, gripe. Whine, whine, whine. Complain, complain, complain. Most of us are like that. Come on, I'm sure you are too. Don't we sometimes act like a grumpy bear just coming out of hibernation? Sometimes, weekends can be the worst.

But you know what? Most people who do this like to do it but never did anything about what they are complaining about. It just becomes like a broken record.

Unfortunately, there are some homes where griping and complaining are the norm and cheerfulness is the exception. These homes are anything but healthy. The atmosphere in them breeds pessimism, bitterness, and gloom.

Many years ago there was a comic strip called "L'il Abner." In it was a character who was a grouch. He walked around with a dark rain cloud over his head even though everyone else was in the sunshine.

A family member like that can infect the entire family and be a source of contamination. Consequently, a colleague like that or a friend can also contaminate the people around them.

Certainly, there will be challenges, disagreements, disadvantages, disappointments, schedule changes, reversals, upsets, traumas, sicknesses, and even death in your family. Those are all a part of your life.

You can't change what happens but you can change how you respond to your circumstances. Begin each day by finding three reasons to praise and thank the Creator. Write them down and read your list several times a day.

Make a pact with your family that the first five minutes of the morning when you first see everyone and the first five minutes when people come home you will be cheerful, courteous, kind, affirming, and affectionate.

By making such a commitment for these key times, you will help set the mood for the day and the evening.

Should someone need to share a gripe or complaint, that's all right. But encourage everyone to share in a way that indicates how something can be different rather than criticizing what they don't like.

By the way, all these ideas came from parents who found that they worked. Let them work for you too.

BE A WINNER NOT A WHINER!

What about you?

Do you have any strategies you used to create a more harmonious home with everyone?

Please do share your comments, likes, feedback, and uplifting experiences that we all can benefit from.

Thank you ever so much my dear WA Family for your precious time reading my blog post.

God bless you all.

I love you all dearly.

Elizabeth.

Unfortunately Elizabeth, there are many moaners, groaners and whiners who we come into contact with daily.

I'm not going to lie, and say I don't have a moan occasionally when I see certain members of the family just doing the same things wrong, time after time after time!

I try my very best to politely explain what is wrong and why at the beginning, then the next time, but it gets to a point where (I am a calm and patience loving person by the way) I just have to let them know!

I do sound as if I am whining now! So I will stop and wish you a wonderful Saturday my friend.:-)

Hahaha! Oh, I just love your
attitude, Nick.

No, you are not whining and I
do completely understand.

No worries as they all have
their own divine plan for their
lives as we do.

Have a peaceful weekend, Nick.

Elizabeth

Much appreciated my friend, you too!

Thank you, my friend.

Have a lovely evening.

Peace.

Elizabeth

I do believed that people who always complain are people who are ungrateful of what they have and people who compare themselves with others. I developed a habit of looking at the mirror in the morning and tell myself how blessed I am, I thanked the Lord for I am wonderfully made in His own image and thanked Him for all His provisions, guidance and protection.

BINGO!!! You got it, Praxides
and yes that is one of my daily
rituals and every time I am in
front of a mirror I do thank the
Lord for all and everything.

Thank you so much, Praxides
for being my kind connection
here in WA.

God bless you more.

Elizabeth

You're welcome my dear friend, Elizabeth. Let us be an agent of change. To God be the glory

Yes, it has to start with us and
that's how we impact others.

Thank you so much again, my
dear Praxides.

Have a peaceful night.

Elizabeth

I am.done with all that stuff . I want a more peaceful life as I am in my golden days, so I just put things in the hands of my lord and have inner peac

Beautiful and that's the way
to live, peacefully.

Thank you so much, Michael.

Peace be with you.

Great post Elizabeth. I grew up in a "Rocking House" . I survived. I moved my family away. My daughter does this practice at dinner table of a positive thing that happened in your day. Beautiful time, her children are small, great practice. Im very proud of her. No "Rocking House" there. Lol

Thank you so much, Lisa.

That is so beautiful and now she
has a legacy to leave her children
and future grandchildren.

Life is so beautiful, isn't it?

Thank you so much for sharing
your story.

God bless you!

Much love.

Elizabeth

Absolutely. She's my mini me lol. Following my Rule....No CRYBABIES lol its hung in my living room.
A person of this nature is miserable in themselves. Got be awful, but when they pass it to others it hunts you. My mama mama is a miserable soul. She doesn't follow her own Rules. My knees have scars for her, distance is my cure.

Oh, we all learned something as
we grew older and sometimes the
events were not so pleasant and
so we do have to let go of these
worn-out situations and just enjoy
the present moment with our loved
ones.

I hear you... love thyself, Lisa.

Sending you more blessings.

Much love.

Elizabeth

Great post!

It is always good to be grateful and to count our blessings. Let your hard work define you and keep it moving!

Oh, hello there, Caleb,

It is so wonderful to see you again.

Yes and it is one of the things that
we should be always aware of...
being grateful all the time no matter
what the circumstance may bring us.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

God be with you always in all ways.

Elizabeth
