Is there a way to make to make my comment section look better
on WP. Can I change the appearance of the comment section on
my page or post.
Thank you
Jimmy G

Hi Jimmy,

You will need to use the 'Inspect' tool (Chrome) or 'Inspect Element' (Firefox) to discover the div or class names that the theme author has used to style the comments area.

Once you've found those you can add CSS to the 'Customisations' section at the bottom of the Appearance > Customise' screen to style it to your liking.

Using 'Inspect' or 'Inspect element' you can make changes there on the front of the site to see how they look (nothing is permanently changed at this stage).

Once they are as you want them then use those attributes and values in the CSS that you add to the Customisations section.

Cheers,

Martin.

Hi, I do add banners and ads on their own on the right hand column. Cheers

Hi Jimmy. I'm still new at this, but I took a look at your website and I don't see anything wrong with it. I have no idea about adsense approval, so I can't be of any help there, sorry.

I wish you much success with your website,
Virginia

I was told it was AdSense, it takes awhile.
Thank You for trying

I was wondering if you could help me with AdSense.
They say they can not approve me until I get this fixed.

Hi - you only have 6 posts, and haven't added anything for over a month, they need to see a lot more content and daily traffic. As others have said, I wouldn't worry about AdSense.

They will not approve sites that are very young or not getting much traffic. Do not sweat Adsense. They pay pennies and you can re-apply when your site is a little more mature.

Tim just text me the same answer.
Thank you guys

Trying to add adsence not understanding it. could someone please direct me in the right direction

Hi Dirkpitt, On how to go about Google AdSense, Kyle explained it to details in the lesson above.

I will recommend that you go through it.

All the best to you.

If you're coming unstuck with adding the code, I have used the 'Ad Inserter' plug-in. It was very easy to understand and can be used for adding other code should you need to.

Scott got you an answer below. Good luck with adsense.

Basically, you sign up for an AdSense account and then you should receive a code that you need to paste into your site header. I recommend you get the Ad Inserter plugin and use the header section in settings to do this.

That code will auto-place ads on your site in various locations. If you feel it's too much, you can remove the auto-placement code and setup ad blocks instead. You can then use the Ad Inserter plugin to control the placement of the ads.

Can you please tell me if you get to pick what kind of ads they put on your site? and how many can they place there? Is it a one time thing or do they replace ads every now and then? Sorry for all these questions, I don't know anything about AdSense, and would like to understand.

If you use the auto place code, it can be anywhere and, for me, tends to be too many ads on the page. If you go ad block, you get to choose placement. I believe either way, you can choose categories for the ad types.

Thanks for the answers.
