How to transfer your domain from NameCheap to WA the long way.

Thank goodness for live chat! Help is always there when you need it. Thanks to all that helped me so far.

I had 3 domains that I wanted to move from NameCheap to WA and I followed the instructions on how to point the DNS to NS1.mywahosting.com and NS2.mywahosting.com. Simple enough. Done.

I waited and waited but couldn't see the domains at WA. I waited 3 long days (a bit too long but I am patient). Finally livechat help suggested that I checked with Namecheap. I did and they said it was pointed to WA.

So what was the missing step? Why was it not at WA?

I was told that I had to put my domains in WA as well! I assumed that it was just going into my own WA and didn't realise that this had to be done.

How do you point your domain to WA? Go to SiteDomain and add it. There's a rectangular blank box and you just add your domain and then click the blue button that says Create Domain.

If you already have a freesite built and want to move it to your new paid domain that can be done easily enough. Go to SiteManager, find the site that you want to change. At the bottom strip you will see the light blue box with MOVE on it. Click on move and follow the instructions in the popup screen.

Done! So happy that it is done....

Thanks, I was just venting. It can be frustrating when things are new and it's hard to learn.
