Get Ranked! Easy Peasy
Well guess what? I am ranked on first page of my key word search!
Honestly I didn't think that it was going to be that easy. I have been here about 3 months and just started to blog with key words.
First off, I want to thank Richard aka Elmocat for giving me the heads up on it.
How did I do it?
1. I got myself a G+, crucial for getting ranked higher. Make sure in the profile section you add your website and that you are a contributor to it.
2. Write a blog using keywords that are low in competition. Make sure that you tag them in the SEO title and description. (I checked with Keyword Tools to make sure that my competition was less than 100 in the results).
3. Go to Google + and post your newly published blog. Once you publish your blog in your site go ahead and post it in G+. I also posted on my Facebook too.
BAM that's it!

Thanks for the nice words, though I don't feel like an expert yet. There's always something to learn....The important thing is to write good content with keywords are low hanging fruits and help boost the ranking by sharing it on G+ and other social media. This helps drive traffic to your site and help off page SEO.
You're welcome. Using keywords with low competition is key and sharing the content and getting people to reshare is great for off page SEO.

Are you following the lessons? The reason I ask is because I'm on Course 3 right now and I haven't come across any training yet for tagging the title and description in the Seo plugin. Does it come up later on? I've been wondering about it for awhile now and if I should be putting something there.

I have been following the lessons. I am only on course 2. There's info on SEO in course 1 , getting the page ready. I can't remember exactly what lessons but go back and check it out. I have gone through some of the lessons a few times as it is easy to miss things. I also get a lot of help reading blogs here on SEO.

G+ is a social media that Google owns. here's the link so you can set up your own account. https://plus.google.com/
here's an article by kyle about why it's important. Amplifying Your Google Love With Google Plus Once you publish your post from your website, share the link on your google plus account and it will help with indexing quicker and with rankings.
