Using Canva Inside ChatGPT

So, did you know that there is a Canva plugin actually within ChatGpt?

Sorry - the paid version of ChatGPT only!

Let's see how to get it, and what we can do with it!

Log in to ChatGPT, and at the top of the screen where it says ChatGPT4, click the dropdown arrow.

Now select Plugins and go to the Plugin store (don't worry, the plugins are free!)

Now use the search feature to find Canva and click Install.

Canva should now show as enabled, so you can write your prompt as you usually would.

Let's try this prompt - Design a Facebook cover photo for my pet grooming business.

As you can see, ChatGPT shows that it used Canva, and it gave me 5 different designs, here is the first one.

Now, this is where the magic happens!

There is a clickable link above the image and this will transfer your design directly to Canva, ready for you to customize!

Now, you could say, that you can do your own search in Canva, without ChatGPT.

But, with this method, you can be quite specific, and receive a variety of designs to choose from, all in one click!

Have fun!

Thanks for this Diane! I am going to try to use the Canva Plugin a bit more. One of the advantages of the plugin over the Canva GPT is that the plugin can have access to the internet to get better information to build the graphic if you need it. However, you can always have two chats open and ask the one that has access for a detailed description of the graphic then feed it to the Canva GPT

Hi Diane,

WOW! WOW! WOW!

Thank you for this! I just asked for a TikTok New Year's Eve video and I got this 6-second video!! https://www.canva.com/design/DAF4cuOl3Js/1yLsEiZNBn7-qzG45nRtjw/watch?utm_content=DAF4cuOl3Js&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=editor

I had seen a previous reference to this plugin somewhere but had ignored it as I was enjoying exploring the GPTs.

I am so glad that you took the time to write this post - game-changer!!

All the best!

Julia

Thanks, Diane

I've used the Canva plugin a few times, and it seems to work well. 👍

Wow, all these "AI toys" create this giant "shiny object black hole," making it almost impossible to escape its gravitational pull. Lol 😵‍💫

I might be trapped in there forever if music didn't come to my rescue. Haha 😎

Rock 2024! 🥂🥳🍾

Hmmm, that's very cool. But, I have the paid version of ChatGPT but I don't see an option for Plugins on that dropdown menu - I only have ChatGPT 4 and 3.5 there. Any idea where I can find the plugins?

Hi - click on your name in the dashboard on the left after logging in, then click Settings & Beta.

Click Beta Features, and enable plugins.

Got it! There is a treasure trove of stuff in there that I never knew existed!

Hi Diane,

This is so great. I need all the help possible, especially with images. Thank you very much.

Maxine :)

You images are so fabulous, Diane.
