ChatGPT: Find Appropriate Affiliate Products

So, in the next of my occasional series on ChatGPT, here's an interesting idea to find appropriate affiliate links for your posts.

Let's see it in action!

For the purposes of this example, I have used an article from a well known website, and the topic is Why Is My Dog Licking Its Paws?

You may wish to add an affiliate link to the post, but can't think of anything suitable.

ChatGPT to the rescue!

You need to type in the exact wording of the following prompt in ChatGPT, and then copy and paste your entire post.

Suggest where to add affiliate links in this text. Output the same text, but make the text that could be a link bold.

Here's how that looks -

Do be aware that if its a long post, it may stop generating.

In which case, tell ChatGPT to continue.

Here's the result -

As you can see, it has suggested 2 products, one from Chewy.com and one from Amazon.

So, let's assume you're an Amazon affiliate, you now need to find the product.

Here it is -

Now, you can grab your affiliate link, and pop it in the post!

Right, now you're all excited with this idea, a few things to be aware of!

Ideally, when you are adding an affiliate link, you should have an in-depth review of it.

So, you could write a separate review of this product, and then within the post above, add an internal link to your review, along the lines of "I highly recommend this product, please read my review, I'm sure you'll be impressed!"

Don't be tempted to add affiliate links to all your posts!

Google will see that as "salesy", the majority of your content should be informational.
