Living life - Naturally
Ever since my father passed away from ALS in 1996, I have continued eating healthy and being very aware of the types of foods I eat and how they are prepared.
More recently, my husband and I have begun a journey to reduce the amount of gluten, sugar and fried foods that we eat. Can you say HARD! I am a serious donut fan and those three little words - gluten, sugar and fried - describe this delicacy to a T!! However, in the interest of better health, I have remained committed (mostly) to removing this most favored item from my eating habits.
This decision was obviously not made lightly, but with three autoimmune diseases it became a necessity. I will say that while we have seriously cut back, we have not eliminated these things all together. It is the same as any diet (I'm not calling this a diet though), you must allow yourself treats or you won't stay committed.
And so our journey continue........
