Staying on course - Follow the path
Momentary lapse of reason - focus
I am working on my training and so far I am getting very good results.
- I have 8 good articles, 1 new review I did last night, everyone of them is indexed.
- G+ profile for my blog - everything posted
- Twiter account secured in my blogs name
- Google analytic working on my site
- One article ranked 8 - (search for my website - my how to buy online article is listed )
- average page rank 126
- Facebook fan page set up all articles posted and some news
- amazon affiliate setup - they do not sell much to do with my niche :(
- 4 other affiliate programs secured
I have spent much time going back to "fix' my articles. I had quite a few errors and not a very good internal link structure. Made a plan and path to cross link all of my content and got that done.
I have one or two affiliate links in each article, very low key.
As I pondered all of this and looking at my traffic, I started to think I don't have enough places to buy things, not enough affiliate links. Maybe I should do a product page... banner... why no conversions...
Then when on a break at my day job I found a blog post that was like a fresh drink of water. The post reminded me in very specific detail of what I am doing here and how it is accomplished. This reminder clarified what I needed to do, and most importantly to keep focused on the process not the results. With so much information coming at us daily it is easy to deviate from our plans.
Thank you GlenB for your post, I really really needed it! I almost went off into the weeds trying to do things not in order and forgetting I am a content creator :) and helper.
My commitment is to stay on course and work on getting targeted traffic first and foremost.
Read this article!
I think you will find a very focused reminder of what we do here, it helped me.
Have a great day!
Doug
