A journey of many steps
Any journey starts with one step, and takes many steps to reach your destination. Joining Wealthy Affiliate was one big step for me, and going premium an even bigger step. Putting money into another online venture went against everything that I thuoght made sense. Your past experiences can cripple you and keep you from reaching for the one thing that will lead you to the success you are looking for.
I read a recent post about courage from one of the members here at WA, and it struck a note with me. I realized it does take courage to continue on the path to your success. Taking the next step when you haven't seen the imediate success, that the internet scams lead you to believe is just a click away, takes courage and determination.Fortunatly here at WA you have the support and help to make this a journey you will not take alone.
Having said all that I will get to the point. I have been looking over some profiles of the new people coming into the Wa community. I noticed that some have been here for awhile and have not filled out their profiles, and others have included little info about them-self. You journey here starts with small steps and will lead to success if you keep taking steps forward. There are no buttons to push for imediate success, but there is a clear path to success for those who work at it.
I will try to make that path a little clearer for you if you are new here.
#1 get involved with the community here, they are your greatest resource for help and encouragement here. Most are very successful and willing to share their knowledge.
#2 set up your account and profile, and don't be afraid to share a little about yourself
#3 start working on your certification courses, read the entire lesson, watch the videos, and make sure you complete the tasks before checking off the boxes at the bottom
# 4 follow the simple steps to build your website, don't worry about it being the best in the world, just start and add to it as you go
#5 as soon as you can upgrade to premium membership, this is your business if you invest in it you will be more likely to treat it as a business. The cost for what you get is a good return on your investment
#6 don't ever get stuck the people int the WA community have helped me through many problems and will help you, reach out to the community and you will find that they are the greatest benefit

Well said Donald! I totally agree with you. I've liken this business to a marathon here: How Long Will It Take Me To Be Successful? With a marathon you're often just running your race but can't see the finish line but you know eventually if you keep running you will. You'll want to give up many times during the race because of the pains but you have to push yourself forward.
This business is exactly the same way. So I'm glad you realize that.
