What's the Purpose?

What is my purpose for doing what I do? Is it for me? Is it for my wife, kids and grand kids?
Money is nothing more than a tangible unit of time. The time I give to my boss is worth so many pieces of worthless paper with numbers on them. My hours tilling, planting, weeding, harvesting and marketing my produce is worth so much and the hours I spend marketing my skills on the internet will bring in a specific amount, hopefully.
What will I do with those pieces of worthless paper? I'll probably exchange them for something of value. Something I need or at least think I need. Will I show generosity to someone who is in need of help?
