How to find Affiliate Programs for any Niche

When I found my niche I had a hard time finding affiliate products in my niche to put on my website. I thought product review with a link was the only way to go (now know differently). I learned something last night about niche affiliate programs that I thought perhaps others might not know so I am going to walk you through HOW to find affiliate programs for any niche.
Hopefully you have chosen a Niche that you are a consumer of? I think that is easier to start with than something you know nothing about, but as I said you can find affiliate programs in any Niche.
So we have suggested affiliate programs like Linkshare, Clickbank, Commission Juntion, to name a few of the large ones that have a wide range of affiliate programs no doubt. However with my niche I have a couple of local stores that I shop in that aren't "big box" stores or chains. I use a lot of their products and wanted to write about them. Could not find an affiliate program on their website so I assumed (and we all know what assuming means) that they did not have one. Wrong.

In frustration I did a Google Search on my Niche in a very general way. I got some store names with websites, stores I haven't heard of, reviewed their products and looked for an affiliate link on their website, there wasn't one. So after reviewing 4 or 5 stores that were in my niche, with no affiliate program, a light bulb turned on.
Why not type in something like a store I didn't know but liked their website and the keyword after "affiliate program", not programs and BANG the first page contained an Affiliate program that had that store listed under it!!!
For example I typed in "Stateline tack store affiliate program", found the affiliate program that this store uses but is not located on Statlinetack.com anywhere!
Seemed so simple but it took me this long to find affiliate programs for stores that I like and use which in turn will attrack visitors to visit them and make a purchase, even if my blog or review has nothing to do with what they were reading about on my site!!!
I finally got it, write write write and only put affiliate stores that I am confident in, that was a big hang up for me to really get my site up and running. Now that problem has been solved for me ..... anyway!
