Google Adsense!

Being a newbie, one thing I have struggled with is Google Adsense. I have pasted and put on my site and have had a heck of a time getting my account approved. Its becoming frustrating.

I figured out they are unavailable by phone and have to email the support team. Now I have been battling this for over a month now and no results.

So I started my 2nd site and thought I had to go through the same process for my new site. Turns out that was wrong and when they gave me a new adsense code and I pasted it on my new site, I thought I was doing well.

I get an email back that you can't have two adsense accounts. Note to self. So now I had to delete an account and wait for them to approve the deletion and then re enter the original code on my original site. Confused? I was.

If my account gets approved then I can add my 2nd site with the same original adsense number I received. I received an email today to re paste my adsense on my site which I did.

However I was trying to figure out the correct way to add the text to my site. In the training here it is very vague on how to add adsense to your site.

I came accross this tutorial by a member here at Wealthy Affiliate which was outstanding. This is my first Blog so I dont believe I am making any mistakes or breaking the rules by attaching this tutorial.

Dont get me wrong. I still havent been approved but this may help some people to prevent the hassles that I have been going through.

I hope this helps.

In agreement with some of the comments below, I know when I go to a page with all the ads, either I just close out, or if the content is important enough for me I can totally ignore the ads. I'm sure I am not the only one that does that. So you may not lose much without the Adsense.

I do the exact same. I've also had malware loaded on my PC from these ads, so I kill the site the second I see the ads. Google needs to do a better job of controlling these ads and what they're doing (e.g. loading malware and slowing down the loading of a site).

Hey Gabe,
I personally don't have AdSense because I can't control the position of the adds the way I wanted.

Tried and True

I've also seen someone's niche site on a particular topic and AdSense posted ads that were in direct conflict with the persons post. It was horrible.

Thanks Gabe. I gave up on AdSense. Jim

Thanks for sharing.

I wouldn't fret over getting an Adsense account. Not everyone has one and unless you have a very high traffic site you are unlikely to be losing much income.

Derek, I'm with you on this and I actually refuse to puts ads on my site for the simple reason that you come across as a "spammer" and you lose authenticity with your readers.

At the end of the day (in my opinion), the pennies you get from any click-through on these ads, pales in comparison to the number of users that close your site out immediately due to the spam. I for one, do it the second I see these spammy ads all over a page.

Dave

Yes, that is a very good point Dave.
