Time To Write An Update Post!

Hey Guys!

So I have been a little M.I.A. here at Wealthy Affiliate. Life happens though. I have been taking a little more time for myself since I have been working so hard. I have been teaching Vacation Bible School (VBS) on Sunday nights at my local church, homeschooling my boys a little bit this summer, working on my yard and garden (love flowers!) and helping my parents move to a new, smaller house (you know the downsize thing).

But it doesn't mean I have been slacking! Since last week, I have written 4 new posts. 3 are on my site entitled 5 Ways to Grow Your Affiliate Income by Thousands, 10 Unbelievable Ways To Get More Email Subscribers In Minutes, and 5 Ways To Earn Your First $1k with Blogging.

My last article I submitted as a guest blogger, and it's still awaiting approval. While it has nothing to do with my actual site, I am hoping that I can drive traffic to my site with backlinks from the guest post. Here's hoping I increase my traffic that way, too!

I have been trying to research ways to promote my new ebook as well on sale at Amazon and on Barnes & Noble, too. No, this isn't to increase my sales. I wanted you to see how my book looks on two different platforms.

So far, I've used the power of social media to sell my books which has driven about 2 sales, and I am offering a book promotion starting on July 10 where it will be on sale in the US for 3 days! I hope this increases my book sale. That's a slow income like affiliate marketing, too.

A friend of mine (who is also an author) was telling me about different ways to promote my book including book clubs, meetings and church events. I hope to get my book selling soon. And I still have to get my other 2 books finished, too. So much to do.

I started working on my first course to sell about Pinterest as well. I'll be honest, it's WAY more work than I initially thought, but I am not giving up. Another friend of mine (and accountability partner) was telling me that the first courses are always the hardest and to expect it will take time with each course.

Being impatient, I asked her about how long it usually takes her to build a course. She said it varies, but that none of her later courses took as long as her first! So that was encouraging.

I have 4 new email subscribers this week as well. Woot! Slowly but surely building my audience.

I also fixed several errors I have been having for the last 6 months on my WordPress account, and it's SO much better! I am still really amped about that because I did it myself without having to call a friend or hire someone! #success

So I needed to take a little break for a bit, but I am still here, and I am still eager to learn. Here's hoping that I can grow my community and my affiliate income with all the great resources here at WA!
