I updated to windows 10 and thanks to the great reviews here, it was a very easy install.
3 Tips:
- Schedule your install - Your PC will be unavailable during the install, so schedule when you do not expect to do any work.
- Expect a long install - I started before I went to bed and in the morning it was almost done
- Back up computer first - great advice

No Sound After 10 Days

Now after 10 days, I lost my sound. It just stopped. I have Realtek High Definition.
After googling Windows10 No Sound, I discovered that this is a common issue. There are variations on the problem. Sometimes you can have sound, but only if you do not have your ear phones plugged in. Others, like me, have no sound at all.
Resolution
I tried various solutions, but what worked for me was to roll back my driver. This is an option:
Control Panel - Device Manager - Sound Controller - Realtek - Right Click - Properties - Driver - Roll Back Driver
This worked! So, I am a happy camper again!
Recommendation
If you are upgrading from Windows 8, you will enjoy the speed and reliability of Windows 10. That being said. Windows 10 still has bugs - hey it was a free upgrade.
If you are using Windows 7, do your due diligence and read the reviews. You might want to wait until more bugs are eliminated.
