Work, Work and Work! Finally I Get It.

I joined Wealthy Affiliate in December 2014 and started my third website in January 2018. Independently, the opportunity has come with the Super Affiliate Challenge - which, of course, was a perfect timing. But I had to change something because my two previous websites were not successful.

Mindset of a Winner or Loser?

I started working on my mindset at the start of the new year. A mindset that is necessary to achieve the goals that I have in life. A very large part of this contributed to a book by Anthony Robbins that I bought 4 (!) years ago - yes, it is a shame - and I finally started to read in January 2018.

Anyway, I understand it now that it is not enough to treat my own website Cinderella-like. Finally, I want this website to give me a full-time income and I can finally retire from my offline job.

When I think about how many senseless hours I've spent in front of the TV, on YouTube and with a lot of sleep instead of working on my website, I get angry with myself.

Times have changed and that's why there are only 3 topics for me:

  • Online Business
  • Sports (my workouts)
  • Offline job (has to be done)

I am absorbing all the knowledge that I can find, I've looked at several training videos and courses several times to really understand everything (English is not my mother tongue).

Learn & Work, Learn & Work

I try to learn from you WA members and to learn from Kyle and Jay. Jay revealed in one of his last webinars that he always works in blocks à 60 minutes. That is, he has a topic (blog writing, blog research ...), set the timer for 60 minutes and then works very concentrated, without distraction and productive this 60 minutes.

I know that does not sound earth-shattering, but I was pleased to hear that because now I'm at least working as one who's already where I want to be. Thanks for that :)

Long story short:

I have experienced myself how important the right mindset is. The online business has to be number one, I did not want to believe it for a long time. But only if I give my website the attention it deserves, the success will come. I have big goals (according to my profile), and that will not work if I want to climb the ladder of success with my hands in my pocket.

Thank you for reading :)

Do you have a secret of success or a proper schedule for your online business? I would be very interested - and maybe other WA members too - in what your daily routine looks like.

DeeMoi,
Thank you, your words are sincere and full a great advice. I will certainly try to use them and keep that mindset about the website. I still have not build my website; still going through the training and to tell you the true I am scared, but I will do the mindset to be more dedicated and try much harder. I need to accomplish my goals and make a better life for me and my family. Thank you

Great post and the mind is a very powerful component.

Tried and True

Elaine

Thanks Elaine!

Yes, mind is nearly everything.

I am keeping an eye out for more answers

There are several posts available in the search field above from people with different strategies to get focused and organized. You have to find one that fits you that you will follow so check out the suggestions listed there. Good luck. I'm still struggling with that myself.

Thanks for your comment, wish you all the best here!

Ummm I think I have to read that book by Anthony Robbins. What is it called?

You are right, we need to be in the right mindset. I'm working on that too.

The book is called "Awaken the Giant Within", an absolutely amazing book to create the right mindset for a successful life.

Great, at the end of the day it´s all about the mindest, I guess.

Thank you Daniel... I will order it.

Oh cool, you will love it :)

I used to think that when I bought a book, that I had to read it immediately. But what I realized is that sometimes, you're not in the right mind-space to absorb what that book has to offer.

I gave myself a 2-book a month reading challenge in 2017, and I'm proud to say that I haven't missed a month! I was thinking of increasing it to 3 a month, but I decided to just keep it at 2 for now.

But whenever I'm not into a book, instead of forcing myself to read it, I just put it away and pick up another book.

there's one that I read that I will keep for life:

"The Power of consistency" by Weldon Long. I think I need to read that book every few months.

All the best with your continued success, Daniel.

Great advice

Wow, inspiring story and a great challenge, Veronica.

Yes, that's the problem. I also have some other books at home that took a very long time to finally read. It probably just has to "fit" that you finally reach for the book.

And then I realize how valuable the information in the book is ;)

The book you mentioned sounds also very interesting.

Thanks for your comment and all the best to you!

I think you would really like this book, Daniel.

He was in prison for many years, so most of what he learned came from a changed mindset while in prison.

Wow, that sounds really great. I will buy this book (and read it) ;)

Awesome Daniel,
I'm waiting to hear when you'll be moving to Miami... now that's a real goal ... rooting for you

Thanks, Tony!

I will definitely contact you when I'm in Miami :)
All the best to you!
