Paralyzed by fear? Don't let it stop you.
I have only been around for a week now, but I will say for anyone starting out that for me, the hardest thing in this journey was figuring out a niche.
Coming up with it wasn't the hardest part, it was the fear and all the questions:
- What if it's not good enough?
- What if I run out of things to write about?
- What if someone else has the same idea? This happened to me and it scared me so much that I didn't create any new content for a few days.
You see, my niche is coffee. Then I saw a blog post by another member on here and how much support he was getting and my first thought was to concede and let him have it and move on to something else. Fear caught a hold of me... I started letting my insecurity about not being good enough stop me from doing something that I love and have wanted to do for years!
But then I thought....if Amazon had done that because Barnes and Noble existed first...or if Starbucks decided not to open any stores because people already make coffee at home or could get it at McDonald's...where would they be right now??
With all the millions of people online, there is enough business to go around. I am very excited to see how we both do and I look forward to seeing his blog and success! Sincerely I do.
When fears start to creep in, you have to push them aside and realize that all your fears are solvable problems...and you'll feel so good once you just decide to pursue your ideas.
No, I'm not an expert at my niche, not like other people might be...but I love to learn and am passionate about it. I am excited to try new things, review new products and hopefully make a small income (even a large one!) at talking about and promoting something I love.
Just my thoughts for the morning. This is a great community. If you're new like me, don't let your fears take over. Stick to it!!
Wishing you all success and happiness!
Dee

Glad you pushed through that fear. Same thing for bridal sites or travel sites or parenting sites - yeah there are lots of others, but no one else will see things exactly the same way as you, and that's what counts!
