Have you ever wondered why you think the way you do ?
Or, . If you don't, (it's just who you are, Right!) ?
I don't know about you, but I love watching movies, . And observing the skills of the myriad of actors and actresses performing their scripts.
I've even cried, been scared, pissed my pants (laughing that is), and screwed my nose up in disgust. So believable are the acts. The difference between a professional and an amateur are, one gets paid and the other does it for fun (or not).
I remember a while back, a friend and myself decided to send an Instagram, showing us both acting out a scene from "a few good men", the courtroom clash between Cruise and Nicholson, where Tom states " I want the truth" ! You can guess, . It was CRAP!
It helped us realize the difficulty in performing an act at such short notice. If we'd pursued the scene with daily practice over a period of months, there is no doubt we could have bettered our performance.
Here's the rub !
Imagine practicing all the behavioral scripts you've been given since, . Say, the age of, hmm, . Five. And someone explained to you, that you're acting far surpasses that of a Hollywood star !
I would take a guess, you would probably take it as an insult, . And run off crying, . (or automatically generate some other emotional re-ACTion)
Point "being", we act out our training so well, we become it !
