Hey Debbie!

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate my friend! Just in case you forgot, I am Eddy "with a y". LOL We met back on my blog: https://www.WorkAtHomeNoScams.com. I'm happy my babbling didn't scare you away and you had enough trust in me to give WA a shot!

You're on your way to building a passive income like I did because of the training and support here at WA!

But we need to get you set up for success. It's important to be able to follow directions if you want to successfully make money online. So with that said, here are the first steps in your journey:

(1) Add your profile image
(Can be anything you want. Just don't make it dirty. lol)

(2) Add a personal description.
(Let us know about yourself and why you're here at WA!)

That's it! If you need help on doing this, watch the following video: Completeing these steps shows you're serious about this business and you can follow directions.

But if you have doubts about this business's legitimacy, check out the following article: I look forward to reading your profile and hearing from you. So go fill that out now. I'll respond with a personalized message if you do!

Speak to you soon Debbie!

Your buddy,
Eddy with a Y. (Get it right. LOL)

Hi Eddy! Thanks for the message. I just finished the first video and it has definitely piqued my interest. I’m a little apprehensive it won’t be easy. Looks like there is a lot to learn and I’m curious...is the income really all that passive, or is it really dependent on consistent writing (blogging) research, etc., which would make it more active learning?

I’m a musician and I have a website I’ve been working on for the past few months. I even signed up as an Amazon affiliate and on my resources page you can see I have a few products. On my latest blog I even had the bright idea to add some links there, LOL. But...not much traffic and not much earnings. I basically, send my students there (I’m a guitar teacher) to buy stuff but that doesn’t help much, neither does a facebook post. I’d also like to branch out to create a teaching product that would definitely add some passive income but I’m aware there is a lot of work to get that going too...free content (YouTube and blog) a lead magnet, a course...blah blah blah. Is that pretty much what WA is all about? I have to say I’m on Wordpress right now and it’s a pain in the ass. LOL. I’m not very tech savvy.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hi, and say I’m interested and keeping an open mind to what I can learn here.

Ciao,

Debbie
I’m not allowed to send my link for some reason. I thought I had premium membership for the first seven days. But it’s my name debbiebarrette dot com

Hey Debbie,

Yes anything worth doing that can really change your life is difficult at first. As a musician I'm sure it was hard at first. But because you continued to practice and learn you got better. Building a business is the same way. It's worth it for people that don't give up. And yes it's a lot to learn. But you weren't born knowing how to play music. But you learned. So you have a proven history of being able to learn new things even if it's hard. The only difference is the dedication. Are you dedicated to learning this business until you succeed like you were dedicated to music? That's the real question you need to ask yourself and answer.

In terms of being passive, yes the income does become passive once you've built up your site and posted enough content where Google trust it. That said your site is like a car. And it should be filled up with gas regularly to go anywhere. In this case the gas is content. So yes you should continue to write new content. But once you're in a situation where your site has decent and consistent traffic and money you can outsource that content which is what many of us who are successful do now.

In any event, I think as you go through the training, you'll probably see the things you're doing right and wrong. I run into quite a few people that have started their own sites before coming here and then the training is like an eye opener.
