Hi - if the affiliate program is allowing you to copy their content, then all of their affiliates, maybe thousands of websites, are using exactly the same. Google likes to see original content to place you high in its rankings.
Copy paste is not recommended, and can you get you in big trouble. If the affiliate gave you permission to copy paste his/her article, then I suppose it's ok, but it's important to mention the source of the article.
Personally, I wouldn't copy paste. I have published books and I would hate it if someone would use my work (either books or articles I wrote) without my permission. I know you do have permission ;-) So, as long as the author of the article is mentioned, it should be ok.
I would always worry about getting in trouble if I copy pasted someone's work.
When you hit the "publish" button in Wordpress and the article is pasted from another site, it may be flagged as not original ... even with permission from the original author. I think you can still publish it though ...
Not sure if my answer was helpful.

Copy/Pasting isn't recommended. There's no "penalty" per se, like some people speculate, but copy/pasted articles simply won't rank. Google has no reason to rank them since it's stuff that's already been published.
The only benefit would be if you had avid readers of your blog and you wanted to expose them to new content, but if that's the case, you could just send them the link to the original article.
Yes, the only copy and paste I would do is from a blog I have constructed in word and wish to place in site content. Unfortunately even this is difficult. Jim
