Man am I social now!
Since I have worked as an Information Security Analyst for over many many years, I have always avoided any of the social networks. I never wanted my name and profession "out there" due to I have been challenged in the past once a hacker found out what I did for a living. I once had to "fight" one for a period of 3 days because he was so determined to break into my home system.
So now, it seems really strange for me to be signing up from Face Book to Pinterest. Since I am retiring at the end of the month, I guess I'll enter into this new social life and see what happens. Of course that is as soon as I figure my way around them now that I have all these new accounts. So, Kyle and Carson, you now have my friend requests, Google Circle adds and Twitter with Pinterest!!! Go easy with me, I'm new to all of this social stuff!

Good for you! They are all very different! The two that are closest together are Facebook and Google +. Also Pinterest and Instagram are similar.

If you are going to be social, you may want to be social within the environment here at WA where it is social with a purpose (and with productivity). Just by hanging out here and networking with others you are going to learn a ton, you are going to get help and at some point you are likely going to be able to give back and help others in the same way.
Welcome to the online social world...it can definitely be a positive experience. Just don't waste too much time on Facebook, Twitter, G+ because they can kill a day pretty quick (and motivation).
