Quick Tip for Growing Your Twitter Network

I recently wrote an article about how I grew my Twitter following by over 500+ people in less than 5 days. Twitter is one of the most powerful social media marketing tools available, and the bigger your network is, the better.

I want to give you a really quick tip on how you can grow it even faster initially.

1. In the 'search twitter' bar, do a search for #followback
2. Click on the 'People' link at the top of the page
3. Follow everyone with this hashtag in their description

This also works for #retweet, although a with a slightly smaller follow-back rate. Be careful not to be too aggressive following people, or Twitter will lock your account out. What you're essentially doing is following everyone who pledges to follow you back if you follow them. Also - be careful not to throw off your following/follower ratio. Give people about 24-48 hours to follow you back. If they don't, unfollow them.
